Pennies for Patients
After several visits to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, third-grader Zhane Duncan wanted to do something to help other patients. So the Fort Smith youngster started Pennies for Patients, collecting $146.93 from his classmates.

A Few Hours of Your Life Can Make a Difference
On March 7 and 8, radio stations B98.5 and Alice 107.7 will host the Champions for Children Radiothon. Be sure to tune in from 6 am – 6 pm. Volunteers are needed to help make the event a success. Are you part of a group who would like to volunteer for this event?

You Can Enjoy a Short Stack and Help ACH Patients
Want some FREE pancakes? Visit IHOP locations across the state on Tuesday, February 5 to receive a free short stack of pancakes. In return, IHOP is collecting donations to Arkansas Children's Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. 100% of all donations will benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

A Piece of the ‘Fiscal Cliff’ Tax Law Could Help You Help Kids
Did you know that people ages 70 ½ and older can transfer up to $100,000 from their individual retirement account (IRA) to a charity without having to pay income taxes on the transfer?

If you want to help children at Arkansas Children’s Hospital with a gift from your IRA, now is the time to act. A special piece of the fiscal cliff deal means your transfer can be retroactive to 2012, but only if you make it before February 1st.
